December 2023. Linocut prints. 4" x 30"
A series of prints I created for my Light Color Design Lab final, inspired by the song "A Winter's Day" by Lamp. I made the prints into an accordion booklet — the order in which the photos are displayed here correlates with their order in the booklet. The song's lyrics describe nostalgic feelings and memories of winter, which I have depicted in these three prints. The first shows two peoples' feet standing in the snow, as their shadows loom over the ground. The second shows diagonal rays reaching across the page, with tiny footprints between them. The third and final print shows a sunrise over a body of water, carved in a minimal way, with few lines and abstract shapes.
